One of the lightest race bindings available, the Plum R World Cup has been developed for skimo competitors looking for the highest possible performance. Weighing only 140 g per ski including ski brakes, Plum have engineered the R World Cup to combine the very lowest weight with the reliability required for all the conditions encountered when racing. Designed for competition, the toe lever has a roller mechanism making locking quick and easy. The R World Cup conforms to the latest ISMF race regulations and comes supplied with ultralight ski brakes, compatible with skis up to 70 mm at the waist. The brakes attach to the toe unit instead of the crampon slot. Crampon slots are available as options, but crampons cannot be used with the ski brakes.
Like most race bindings where weight is critical, lateral and forward release are not adjustable. Plum does not specify the release value but the R World Cup is recommended for skiers weighing 35-90 kg. The heel unit has two positions in walk mode: flat and +38 mm. Built to be as light as possible, the R World Cup is machined from 7075 aluminium with hardened steel toe inserts, and will propel you to the front of the race, whether you’re in a world cup competition or enjoying your club event.
