The SR61 is an ultralight skimo / exercise ski for making rapid ascents and descents. Designed more for tourers wanting a super efficient tool for the backcountry, and fitness fanatics wanting the lightest possible ski, the SR61 weighs in at just 800 g per ski. Pure skimo race skis are not always the easiest beasts to master when skiing downhill, and Voile wanted to make the SR61 equally good up and down. The SR61 has 30 cm rocker upfront and turns very easily thanks to the 93-63-79 mm shape. Built with quite a strong camber underfoot, the SR61 grips well in harder conditions. Agile from edge to edge, the SR61 copes well with trees and narrow couloirs. In soft snow the extended rocker provides stability and a smoother ride. Lightweight, efficient and a joy to ski, the Voile SR61 climbs and descends with aplomb.
