Les Bâtons de Alain

Les Bâtons d'Alain is a French company based in Chamonix specialized in manufacturing robust and versatile mountain poles.
Designed by Alain Desez, a high mountain guide, these poles feature a one-piece 18 mm diameter anodized 7075 aluminum shaft with a long ergonomic EVA foam grip.
There is no length adjustment or mechanism, so these poles are extremely robust.
Les Bâtons d'Alain have rapidly gained a loyal following amongst mountain goers since they're equally suitable for ski touring, trekking, snowshoeing and trail running.
The poles are made in the "Pays du Mont-Blanc" by a company certified with ISO 14001, ensuring an environmentally responsible approach. They feature interchangeable tungsten carbide tips, adaptable baskets for dry or snowy terrain, and are designed without wrist straps for greater safety and freedom of use.

The main benefits of these poles include their durability, ergonomics, the ability to freely position hands along the long grip, and a design that prevents hand contact with the shaft to promote better posture.
They are available in three sizes, 115 cm, 125 cm and 135 cm and Alain offers an ever changing choice of colours for the grips, pommels and baskets.
