Stockli Montero AR Ski 2026 + Strive 13D Blue

Stockli position the Montero series as being all mountain skis that sit between the pure piste carving Laser models and the freeride Stormrider skis.

With a sidecut of 128-84-114 mm the Montero AR has enough width to make fresh snow fun and the shape to carve hard on piste and charge hard in chopped up conditions.
With a full wood core sandwiched between two titanal sheets, the Montero AR offers smooth powerful performance. Stockli have cut slits in the top titanal sheet at the tip and tail, allowing some torsional flex which improves turn initiation and exit and gives these skis a slightly more forgiving character than true race skis.
The Montero AR offers superb edge grip on hard snow, smooth turn progression and copes very well with changeable snow conditions.
A superb top of the line all mountain ski, the Montero AR comes highly recommended.

Features Stockli Montero AR Ski 2026

Rocker
The gradual bending up of the ski at its tip and tail is called the rocker. Stockli modifies the rocker according to the type of ski. Typically, the longer and more pronounced the rocker, the more lift is generated and the more responsive and easy-turning the ski becomes.

Light Core and Super Light Core
Particularly light European wood species are deployed in the all-mountain, freeride/off-piste and touring segments. This makes the core a little softer and suppler, which lends the ski dynamism and makes it very durable.

Full Edge Contact
The widest points of the ski are set further forth or back.
This makes the shovel grip faster and the part of the edge in contact with the snow when the ski is titled becomes longer.

Solid Metal Edge Light
Same edge width as the SME. A modified die-cutting procedure, however, means the edge is inserted less deeply into the ski, which saves weight.

Adaptive Contact Length
The widest point on the shovel is set further forward. Together with a slight rocker (more gradual up-bend of the shovel), the more the ski is titled, the further forward the contact point of the edge with the snow moves. This preserves its nimble characteristics without sacrificing stability and grip during the turn.

Tail Rocker
A longer rocker at the tail with a flatter radius.

Flex Torsion Control
An S-shaped notch in the aluminium of the shovel and tail of the ski offers softer flex and torsion at the front and rear. As a result, the ski exhibits more torsional flex, making it easier to initiate turns. At the same time, when changing direction, the ski remains under control because the torsion can adapt.
