Black Crows widest touring ski, the Draco Freebird is a freestyle orientated twintip powder touring ski. That's a pretty unique combination, and the Draco Freebird is designed for supply the mobility you need in the backcountry with the ability to ski freestyle.
A full twintip ski with relatively long tip rocker, camber underfoot and tail rocker, the Draco Freebird has a Poplar / Paulownia wood core with a relatively stiff and snappy flex, ideal for performing backcountry tricks. With 110 mm underfoot the Draco Freebird offers plenty of flotation in deep snow yet weighs a relatively light 3.80 kg / pair (181 cm). Obviously not the lightest touring ski out there, but one of the widest, and offering the performance and skiability of a modern freestyle backcountry ski that does not trade weight for sensations. The Draco Freebird is the only twin tip model in Black Crows' touring range, designed for advanced and expert backcountry skiers who want to be wild and creative. As for all the Black Crows Freebird touring skis, we do not recommend mounting telemark bindings on the Draco Freebird.
