INFORMATION ON US PRICES.
Since August the US government has applied 15% tariffs on all imports from Europe (this is why most ski and mountain gear is more expensive in the USA than last season).
The application of these tariffs has required that we change the price format for the USA.
We now show only one price, rather than a regular and a sale price. These are the same low prices that we have always offered since 1998.
Our prices on the category pages and product pages do not include the tariffs.
When you add a product to the shopping cart you will see that the price changes. This is because we are obliged to charge the 15% tariff, plus handling charge, which is passed on to the US Goverment.
Proceeding to Checkout you can see full details of prices, with the product price(s) as seen on the product page, details of the tariff charges, and shipping costs.
We chose this format since it is similar to shopping in a US physical store, with the price ticket showing the product price and sales tax added at the cash desk.
The USD total price you see at the checkout is the total price, without any hidden costs or charges.
We have seen that our prices remain competitive and ship to the US every day Monday - Friday. By including all tariffs and charges, delivery is streamlined and as fast as usual.
