K2 started near Seattle more than 50 years ago, with two brothers, Bill and Don Kirschner, who made animal cages at the time, before starting to create skis. K2 quickly became the leading American brand in its market. It has always been a brand ahead of its time, whether with the first "twin tip" in 1997 in the use of rockers and now with almost a systematization of the rocker throughout its range. Pro-models have always been part of K2 history with iconic skiers like Seth Morrison, Shane Mc Konkey, Pep Fujas and many others. K2 has always been a trend setter in freeskiing, with “shapes” and designs that only they can do.
